The Vancouver Island Pet Expo is coming up!
Whisker’s Urban Ranch will have a booth so come on down and say hi to Paige and Shannon who will be there!
See you there!
Enzo and Soda. Another post-wrestle photo. We have had the honour of witnessing these two grow from pups to full adults.
Did you know that black dogs have a harder time getting adopted than lighter coloured dogs? An article on CTV news further discusses the issue (A doggone shame: ‘Black dog syndrome’ sees black canines left behind), which is a phenomenon that shelters across North America deal with.
As we all know it’s what INSIDE that counts, so they next time you find yourself at the shelter consider giving a black dog a chance!
Jack, Bruno and Theo in a quiet moment post-wrestle.
Try as I might, I can’t quite capture the crazy fun that happens at Whisker’s every day. There are chill moments like this… while a wrestle-fest goes on right behind my legs… while a flurry of excitement erupts up front because a new cowboy or cowgirl has joined the group for the day… while someone sleeps in a barrel… while the Ball Crew goes crazy in the back… while the Ranchers snuggle/bath/groom a pup or two (or three).
It goes on and on!
The sweet and lovely Betsy!
Betsy is so darn lovely we are overjoyed when she comes to the Ranch!
It’s happy Nikki!
It’s photos like this that remind you why dogs are awesome. Look at Nikki’s face. She is positively STOKED about life and really wants you to know it!
Dogs are the best.
Beau taking a moment to contemplate the meaning of life…
Hahahahaha, just kidding. Beau is taking a rest from his ball chasing shenanigans and was back at it 3 seconds after this photo was taken!
There’s Sal. There’s Tucker… and, oh look! Tucker is sitting on Penny!
Sal and Penny are siblings who can usually be seen wrestling under the chairs… when they aren’t snoozing on top of them, that is!
Tucker is a fun-loving recently adopted Beagle, who loves to play ball. He wasn’t one of our foster dogs, but we sponsored his daycare time, while he was in transition.
Yeah for hanging out with buddies!
Mazlow is wondering if you’ll have a good weekend.
Will you give it a try? For Mazlow?
Maddie hanging out by the office just in case someone needs some help with paperwork (the food is also kept there… maybe that’s what’s going on)…
You’re so helpful, Maddie!
Quelle and Enzo WILLING one of the Ranchers to throw a ball.
This is the doggie version of the Jedi mind trick… it usually works…
